Hunar directed by Sujoy Mukherjee
Hunar Synopsis
HUNAR is all about how parents impose their unfulfilled dreams over the little shoulders of their child and underestimate the real talent within them. What HUNAR is all about? It’s about a deep thought that, our dreams drive our lives. Dreams provide a sense of stability in the unstable, unpredictable times. But often parent’s expectations become a burden on child's shoulders and their dreams, an obligation. Many parents tend to impose their decisions on their kids when it comes to career building. While doing this, they unknowingly kill their child’s innocence and set them up for a lifetime of rat race, showing complete disregard for their aspirations and happiness. Film “HUNAR” speaks loudly on this issue.
Director's Point of view
I believe wholeheartedly that we are not the owners of our children, we are just a medium to bring them into this world… Every child is a unique creation of God in himself. He has sent everyone to this earth with skills. Keeping this in mind, we parents should identify the skills of our children and develop them. We have to make children's wings and not chains for their feet.
