“Yes, I will leave” directed by Ricardo Motta
My name is Ricardo Motta and I'm writing from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As the creator of an independent film, without any support or sponsorship, I am the screenwriter, director, and a whole lot more in the film.
The film began to be created and written after several loved ones passed away, but I prefer to say that they will leave.
My father, my brother, my nephew, my mother, some friends... are gone.
During that same period, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I discovered that I had cancer.
After several loved ones pass away and you discover you have a serious illness, things begin to take on a different meaning. And it was in discovering new meanings that I became curious to know what people thought and reacted to these issues. So, I invited 23 friends to answer the same questions, to find out what they think about Life, Death, their Fears and many other things.
With great care and delicacy, I put together the interviews, adding 4 songs specially written for the film, and with several background songs to create the exact atmosphere for each scene.
I am very excited to know that our film, an independent Brazilian film, has once again been selected in India, which is a reference in International Cinema.
