This short film is written, screen played and directed by eminent Physician Dr. Pradip Kumar Das. In the present situation, Joint family is broken and made into nuclear family where the members are Father-mother and one to two sons or daughter. In this short film named as Apekhya where Mrs Indira Debi felt helpless when her husband got a sudden heart attack and ultimately expired because of absence of her son and daughter-in-law for their service settlement in abroad. Ultimately finding no way they decided to keep mother in an old age home nearby.

In spite of many obstacles Indira Debi settled her existence in the home and within a very short spell she proved herself by her affection, love, dedication and respect to the seniors as a harbinger to them. so in her birth day celebration all the residents enjoyed but Indira Debi felt little bit dismay for not only absence of her son and daughter-in-law but also their apathy to communicate her even the birth of her grant-daughter was not to communicated her. At last, when her son along with grant daughter came to her, she rejoiced by lifting her grant daughter to her lap.

But when her son asked to return to their home, she politely reminded by saying that it is not possible to her to quit the residents of this old age home rather incidentally she will visit their home to see grant-daughter. She also reminded that they might think whole universe is a big home where we will exist by tying themselves for each other and for this she quoting the great speech of Master : ' yata mat tata path' and for this to reach we have to wait for that.
