Catarina Accioly has a degree in Performing Arts from the University of Brasília - UnB and a specialization in film directing from EICTV - Cuba. She has worked since 1995 as a producer, actress, screenwriter and director of film, TV and theater. With extensive experience in both languages, she wrote and directed the short films “A Matter of Time”, “Among Colors and Razors” and “The Obscene Miss D” and the feature documentary “Wheels off a Giant”, which was selected for more than 70 festivals around the world and received more than 35 awards in several categories, including best documentary and best direction. She coordinated public television for the Brazilian government, where she created and directed numerous documentaries on themes related to human rights, the environment, traditional peoples, labor, sustainable production, food, among others. She also directed the shows: “The Obscene Miss D”; "Weaving Voluptuousness"; "It shook the S.A. Family"; "The Obscene"; "Round Lady and the Secret of the Enchanted Tree".
In 2014, she founded Stelios Produções, a production company focused on products for a better, fairer and more egalitarian world and aligned with the UN's sustainable development goals - SDGs - for 2030. With a focus on content for children and adolescents; for women, the elderly and traditional peoples in order to improve prospects for these audiences.
