In 1980s rural Odisha, a young schoolteacher and her daughter arrive in a village shadowed by silence. Lonely and unmoored, she writes unsent letters to her dead mother, holding her grief in words never meant to leave the page. Nearby lives an elderly midwife, once central to village life, now passing her days writing poetry on scraps of paper, wrapped in a worn shawl stitched with memory. Their chance meetings grow into a quiet friendship built through shared walks, tea, and silence.
