Sathya and Kavitha, new parents, struggle after Kavitha slips into postpartum depression—something Sathya doesn’t initially understand. Her refusal of intimacy and frequent outbursts leave him frustrated. Misguided by a colleague’s advice to seek a sex worker, Sathya sets out but instead meets Yashoda, a transgender woman. Rather than pursuing desire, Sathya invites her home as a nanny, believing Kavitha needs rest and support. Though shocked at first, Kavitha soon sees Yashoda’s genuine care for their baby. Gradually, peace and joy return to their family. Thaye Yashoda shines a light on postpartum struggles, empathy, and acceptance, showing how love and dignity can emerge from the most unexpected places.
